In 1985, Oaks Construction Company announced Newport Realtors as the commercial realty business unit for the company. Max Oaks, founder/president of Oaks Construction Company, received his broker’s license as part of heading up this new business venture.
In the 4thQ of 2007, Oaks announced a name change for its’ commercial real estate business unit. The unit formerly known as Newport Realtors became Oaks Commercial Realty. The name change was to allow Oaks to continue to brand its’ name and help the business community identify Oaks as a turn-key commercial development company with business units including Oaks Development Group, Oaks Construction Company, and Oaks Commercial Realty.
“The name change makes sense for us as the company continues to grow and evolve,” states Max Oaks. “Oaks has built a reputation of quality and integrity, regardless of which business unit a client may be working with, and we want people to know that we are in the commercial real estate business, as well as, development, finance, and construction,” shares Oaks.
Also during the 4thQ of 2007, Oaks hired an additional broker and two agents to further staff the Oaks Commercial Realty business unit offering the following commercial real estate services:
- Tenant Representation
- Landlord Representation
- Investment Sales
- Building Sales
